We’re Celebrating 25 years of the Last Great Run of the Year!

Welcome to the 25th Anniversary of the New Balance Fall Classic on November 16, 2008.

We hope you can join us for the Last Great Run of the Year to see why it is one of Vancouver favourite runs, and the best way to wrap up your running season.

End on a high note! The New Balance Fall Classic has a reputation for accurate and pretty routes with races that start on time followed with great food, great garments and a nice warm dry place to relax with friends after the race. You can even shower while you wait for the awards to begin, which are also always on time.

Check out some testimonials from the 2007 event, and decide for yourself.

Due to last year’s rave reviews, we are planning to keep the same routes that we created for 2007 due to construction. It’s a wildly changing landscape out there at the ever-growing UBC Campus, so we’ll see how it goes, so stay tuned…

Participants helped us raise over $11,000 for the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon and for 2008, we’d all like to see an increase in that figure. There are many fundraising incentives available through the Heart & Stroke Foundation website, so please check it out an see if you want to help us with this challenge.

For our 25th Anniversary, we have re-instated the very classic Fall Classic black tights. Back in the day, the Fall Classic was the first event in Vancouver to offer running tights with the entry. So we are going back to our roots. With our new Silver Leaves logo, these tights are destined to be one of your favourite pairs. We have some Womens Technical hoodies available as an option to the tights, or if you’d prefer a limited edition 25th Anniversary New Balance Fall Classic Jacket, then for a small upgrade fee, you could be wearing this beautiful garment.

We are excited to put on a fantastic experience for you this year.

Let’s keep the tradition alive and we’ll see you at the Last Great Run of the Year!
