Gabriola
Island is home to Gabriola Sea Kayaking, one of the
busiest kayak outfitters on the west coast. Owners Peter
Marcus and wife Ana Lopez-Uriarte run a year round
operation, offering tours around British Columbia in the
summers and to Mexico in the winters. Gabriola has gone
on to play a significant role in the development of sea
kayaking on the coast. |

Formed
in February of 2000, Eventsonline.ca is a 100% Canadian
based company for Canadian sporting events. With the
increase in participatory events in our country during
the late 1990's, the founders recognized the need for an
internet site that would offer on-line registration
services to athletes and race directors. Eventsonline.ca
was formed by John Litherland of Wolf Infosystems and
Marc Roy of Sportstats. |
