Route Maps
The New Balance Fall Classic route
changes slightly every year due to construction issues
at the ever expanding UBC. We are changing slightly the
start and finish locations again. The start is being
moved out onto East Mall and the finish will still be in
the plaza of the Student Union Building (SUB) which is
adjacent to the Student Recreation Centre (SRC). This
means that when you come out of the SRC after picking up
your Bib & Chip, you will find yourself near the start
line, and when you finish, you will once again be close
to the SRC. The biggest change this year is that we are
going in the opposite direction of recent years. All of
the courses will be certified to be accurate. The 5k and
10k routes will be single loops, while the NBFC Half
Marathon continues to be the most popular double loop
half marathon in BC with two loops (first one is 11.1km
and the second one is the standard 10k route). We do
this to keep the course as flat as possible.
Rest assured that they will be accurate,
as flat as possible and gorgeous autumn running suitable
for the Last Great Run of the Year!

Transit
Bus #17 arrives at UBC Bus Loop as early
as 6:17am, then every 10-20 minutes. Check
http://tripplanning.translink.bc.ca/ for more
details. Once you arrive at the UBC Loop, head north (go
between the War Memorial Gym and the swimming pool along
the pathway and you’re almost there) to the Student
Recreation Centre to check-in and get your stuff.
