Here is what you are picking up:

1) Timing Chip - to be picked up on race day
2) Personalized Bib (if you registered before November 1) - to be picked up on race day
3) Generic Bib (if you registered anytime in November) - to be picked up on race day
4) New Balance Fall Classic souvenir garment - to be picked up at R&R anytime from November 1 to 30
5) Rackets & Runners discount coupon - comes with your shirt pickup
6) Throwaway running gloves - to be picked up on race day at the Glove Booth

Timing Chip and Bib

There are only two things you really need before you start the New Balance Fall Classic and they are available at the Student Recreation Centre at UBC immediately before the start of the race. That would be your Bib and your Timing Chip.

Bib & Chip Pickup times for SRC at UBC are as follows:
Half Marathon - 7:30am to 8:15am – race starts at 8:30am
10k - 7:30am to 9:15am – race starts at 9:30am
5k - 9:15am to 9:45am – race starts at 10:00am

These races start on time (based on countdown timers) and the starts will not be delayed for people who did not allow enough time to pick up their Bib & Chip.
The process is quick since all you have to do is go to the table with the letter that begins the spelling of your last name, and say who you are, and we will give you your Bib & Chip which have been matched to your name, race, age group and gender. Then you will go to the PinBin and collect 2 or 4 pins to attach your Bib to the front of your garment. We need to see your Bibs when you cross the finish line for our backup timing system.

This pickup process will not take long but if everyone shows up at the last possible moment, then you can imagine the trouble that will entail. Earlier is better.

Souvenir garment and discount coupon

All souvenirs selected online during registration can be picked up at Rackets & Runners (3880 Oak Street) anytime from November 1 to November 30.

The store hours are as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday 9:30am to 6:00pm
Thursday 9:30am to 8:00pm
Friday 9:30am to 9:00pm
Sunday 11:00am to 5:00pm

If you plan to pickup your shirts after the race, please be prepared to wait in line at the store.

The far better idea would be to plan a leisurely trip to the store at some other time between November 1 and 15.

Please visit the Glove Booth at the Package pickup before the race.
